Jules Landau formed and helmed The Zen Hussies under the alter-ego of the infamous Jonah Flatfoot as singer, guitarist, wordsmith and sometime gob-stick botherer, convening an array of fellow musical pilgrims to ‘reinvent jazz for the 19th century’ and the band quickly earned their reputation as ‘The West Country’s Most Exclusive Drinking Club‘.

Between 2000 and 2019 this eclectic musical behemoth perfumed nigh on a thousand live shows all over Europe and recorded five memorable and uniquely eccentric albums of original material. In 2018, Jules and his fellow bandmates songwriting abilities were recognised when their entire catalogue was admitted into the British National Library archive.
Their music has been used in feature films, commercials, animations and divorce settlements – discover what all the fuss was about via the video links below, and you can even purchase their Records and download all or any of their albums via the Bandcamp link.
